Business Development and Operations Associate
Seeking a self-directed, organized problem solver who enjoys a multi-faceted role. This individual will play a critical part in driving new business and ensuring deadlines are successfully met. Time management, problem-solving skills, the ability to work well in a team setting, creative thinking, flexibility, and the ability to follow directions, are all important facets of this role. The right person needs to have enthusiasm and work well in an entrepreneurial environment. The ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in an efficient manner, are a must!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and enhance company marketing efforts including social media updating and management, website improvements, content updates, etc.
- Help to innovate and facilitate new client business opportunities
- Lead generation and follow-up
- Webinars and sales events
- Etc.
- Develop/edit presentations for promotional, client, and internal meetings and events
- Assist with streamlining the sales cycle for new and existing projects
- Manage and edit sales proposals
- Act as a gate keeper to management and consulting staff
- Develop and maintain procedural manuals for daily operating functions
- Organize internal systems (assess, research and implement if necessary, more effective tools)
- Create and maintain standard templates for sales and client engagements
- Create and update financial/management reports as needed
- Some general administrative functions
- Some travel may be necessary (sales meetings, conferences, training, company meetings, etc.)
- Becoming a vested part of a small but dedicated team of employees and contractors who are working to better themselves and help our company grow to the next level!
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years applicable corporate experience
- Prior project management experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Fluency with the latest social media platforms and trends
- Comfortable presenting in front of an audience
- Quick and eager to learn about new technologies and systems as is needed
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals
- Proven outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to use good common sense, work independently with, and without supervision, and as a team player
- Ability to problem solve and change direction at a moment's notice and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Prior Sales experience a plus
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment/small company a plus
- An understanding of the technical consulting and/or software implementation industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Finance preferred
