Essbase 21c and EPM Integration - Provisioning Essbase Applications

After successfully integrating Essbase 21c with Shared Services, I copied an Essbase application (good old “Sample”) from a different EPM instance. I was curious to see how the application would look from within the Shared Services GUI so I took a look.

First, I made sure my ‘admin’ user was provisioned as an Administrator and Provisioning Manager for the Essbase Cluster, and that the user was also provisioned as Application Manager and Provisioning Manager for the “Sample” application.

I then made the same provisioning available for my ‘test’ user:

I could immediately see the application in the Essbase GUI with my ‘test’ user, and could start the application:

I can see files, scripts, etc. for the application’s databases:

I could open the outline:

I have the ability to edit the outline too:

Hopefully this has been helpful to you. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know!
