Caution Applying the October 2022 Critical Patch Updates

The October 2022 Critical Patch Update for the Oracle EPM suite has been released, but needs to be carefully evaluated in a sandbox or development environment before applying across the enterprise. Some of the issues we have seen so far are wide-spread enough we are getting nearly instant responses from Oracle Support about fixes. Other issues are forcing recommendations of roll-back of the Critical Patch Update. Many organizations are performing system-wide scans looking for vulnerabilities fixed by the quarterly Critical Patch Updates, there is pressure to apply these updates as quickly as they are released, but there are also consequences to the functionality of your EPM suite for doing so. Evaluate your risk level and take action appropriately.
